for everybody else: please read this thread and be aware of the security issues. if you think this might lead to any trouble on your server (and we strongly feel like it), PLEASE UNINSTALL MINISHOWCASE.
thank you all.
i can add a alert for those browsers, though. i'll see if i add it in the next release.
two things you might try:
first: set permissions to BOTH the /galleries/ and the inner galleries folders (/Blue_and_White_Out/ and others if applicable) to 0777, and try again.
second: if first fails, create a folder named "_thumbnails" inside the…
great that it solved. yeah, i forgot to release the thumbnail folder name change, which i did in order for the folder to appear on top (or bottom of other files) inside the gallery folder, in order for it to be more manageable (findable)
right now it is not possible. i might think on adding sub-galleries if minishowcase gets to a stable phase and enough people want it, but right now there are some issues that need to be covered first.
anyhow, i think it might get into minishowcase …
for now, the folder /galleries/ has to reside in the same place as it is right now. relative paths won't work.
try using the same path minishowcase provides (that is inside the minishowcase folder "/minishowcase/galleries/").
does your /gallery/ directory has permissions 777? could you include also your version of minishowcase?
you can try downloading the latest release if it does not coincide with oyur current version.
about the debug mode, yes, it'll be very helpful.…
can you please include the version you're using? it'll help if you also add the OS version. as for IE7, it is not supported right now, since i don't have access to it.
you might try downloading the latest release and checking if it works.
hehe, my bad.
due to some local settings i was getting my local version when connecting to minishowcase.net so i thought i already uploaded the patched version.
i am uploading a version that behaves as you want, with the image always visible and a…
as i told you before, position:fixed is not supported by IE6.
could you tell me how would you want it to behave? i think i'm not understanding it.
if i get to understand what would you want to do, it'll be easier.
position for both #msc_image *and…
if you intend to draw the lightbox (the gray transparent are where the images are shown) at the same height as the gallery instead of the top of the pahe, then i understand what you mean. unfortunately, that is not possible right now.
the issue has been solved in the latest release (v08b79) it was a problem with the
loadThumbsInterval = setInterval("getNextThumb()", 0);
which seems not to work in IE PC with lapses of 0 seconds.
if (msie) image += '&ie=1';
IE6 does not support fixed positioning (IE7 will, but only on strict mode, it seems). in version v08b79 there's a IE hack that makes it behave like a fixed positioned div even when it is scrolled.
let me know if it is not behaving like this to you,…
anyhow i have noticed that iFrames does not work on some browsers.
i'll look into it this week (i'm already working into making relative paths nore stable all through the application). let you know here.
updated version is online (v08b79)
if you're still having problems after upgrading to v08b79, please let me know here and include a link to the gallery. it helps since i might be missing something you have on your settings that i don't on my test s…
