Link Directly to a Gallery?

Is there anyway to
1) link directly to a gallery from a link in another webpage without showing the main minishowcase directory/menu?
2) show the thumbnails for a specific gallery in a page, without showing the list of galleries?

it is in the process of being implemented, but it is devilishly tricky due to the ajax processes and different browser support.

I'm building a website for my small Theatre Company and we Are building an archive section with a page for each show we have produced since 1969. This could have anything from 1 to several hundred images for each show.
Ideally I'd like to have say up to 3 or 4 thumbnails on the main page for each show, but a link to the overlay image gallery for that show.
Even if only the overlay gallery were powered by minishowcase that would be great.

right now permalinks work, so you can link directly to a gallery or an image inside a gallery.
it works by automatically opening the gallery, and the image inside the gallery if selected. the link appears once you click on the 'permalink' link on top of the gallery thumbnails / images.
hope that is good enough for you. -
I'm using the Alpha release, and the permalinks don't work.
In the same time, I got troubles with the sorting of the pictures.
Could you take a look into that ?
(I'm using the Alpha version cause I couldn't install the v08b93 with vista (files missing).

I want to load echo gallery when i click certain button or link rather than click from the gallery menu. Anyone can know how to do it and where i should modify the code,please.
