thumbnails: some are grey the rest has some blur

    hi

first thanks for this really brilliant gallery!!! just go on like you did in the past!

so now to my problem, as written in the topic, I have a problem with the gallery. in some galleries, when i click on a pic to view it, there are grey pictures instead of the thumbs (testet with ff 3.6.4beta and opera 9.63).

in other gallerys the thumbs (also when i view a single picture) have some kind of a blur.

links and which gallery reacts how I will tell you at the end.

    the server is running with
    Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64
    PHP 5.2.6-1+lenny8 (cgi)
    Zend Version 2.2.0

    safe mode is on

    this are the installed "addons":

zip, xmlwriter, libxml, xml, wddx, tokenizer, sysvshm, sysvsem, sysvmsg, session, SimpleXML, sockets, soap, SPL, shmop, standard, Reflection, posix, mime_magic, mbstring, json, iconv, hash, gettext, ftp, filter, exif, dom, dba, date, ctype, calendar, bz2, bcmath, zlib, pcre, openssl, xmlreader, cgi-fcgi, curl, gd, imap, mcrypt, mhash, mysql, mysqli, PDO, pdo_mysql, pdo_pgsql, pgsql, snmp, tidy, ionCube Loader, Zend Optimizer

so i don't let the gallery create thumbs on the fly

if there is a solution posted in the forum allready, i feel sorry for bringing up this topic again but i didn't found it then in the last two days

    http://schwarzwaldelche.com/index.php?mod=showcase&action=view is the general link

"Eröffnung Clubheim - Fanclub Iffezheim (29.11.2009)" is the grey thumnail gallery *done*
--> okay the problem are "special characters" like ä,ö,ü,ß they don't should appear in a filedirectory

but at least the blur exists, is there any way to get there clear pictures?
i tried the quality settins but didn't worked

thanks for your help and kind regards

    hi marcel,

so you're a schalke fan! sehr gut! i'm more of an interista :)

usually the grey images means the server couldn't transform the image, so you have to check the GD libraries and if they offer support for your format (there are different ways to code a JPG file) and also the memory. if it is memory (server's) you have to make the images smaller before uploading them.

hope that helps, and thanks for the support.
