I got the newest version of minishowcase and I read the Instructions.htm To creating cache thumbnails but I got a problem

If I open the /minishowcase/galleries/?thumbnails file and try to create the thumbs it writes: STATUS: creating thumbs for..... and nothing happens no pictures were created? could somebody helps me? I think its just a true or false option but I can not find a solution.... Thanks a lot
